WELCOME #KIP89.

Khairul Idham Pawi

The humble lad from Kampung Gajah, Perak.

At 17, ‘KIP’ as he is fondly known, raced his first race in the Moto3 class as a wildcard rider at the Aragon Circuit in Spain with Honda Team Asia. He finished the race in 25th place.

In 2016, he made his full time debut in the Moto3 World Championship and won the second Grand Prix race of the season in a wet and rainy circuit at Argentine GP.

Later on in the German Grand Prix, he notched another win – charging from 20th in the grid to take the lead after just six laps, proving himself as a wet weather specialist. He was the fastest with over 11 seconds from Italian rider Andrea Locatelli.

All this, by the tender age of 20 years old. Slowly, but surely, his star is shining brighter.

Deemed to be the youngest non-European rider to win not one, but TWO Grand Prix motorcycle races.

In 2017, he made his debut in Moto2 in Qatar but his progress has been up and down of late.

However in 2019, KIP suffered an accident after a furious start in the unfortunate Spanish GP race at the Jerez-Angel Nieto circuit. Injury to his right hand has since forced the unlucky lad into the sidelines, as he looks to recover and regain optimum health.

Nevertheless, nothing can keep a good rider down. Not even injury.

With professional treatment and a dedicated medical team around him, KIP will come back – harder, faster and stronger than ever before.

This is the evolution of #KIP89.
